The Wayne County Prosecuting Attorney is seeking a full-time assistant prosecuting attorney who can help fight for truth, justice and the American way by prosecuting misdemeanor cases in the fast-paced and always exciting Wayne County Municipal Court in Wooster, Ohio.

This position is unclassified and FLSA exempt. Wayne County benefits include participation in the Ohio Public Employees Retirement System with its significant employer contribution, health insurance, life insurance, vacation leave, eleven paid holidays, and a generous sick leave policy. The starting wage for this position is commensurate with experience and level of skills, abilities, and knowledge as outlined below.

Requirements for the position include a license to practice law in the State of Ohio, good communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to think fast on one’s feet, a strong sense of professional behavior, impeccable integrity, and the ability to work efficiently and effectively under pressure in a fast-paced and exciting courtroom environment.
