Week of 1/3/22 Criminal Felony Convictions:

A criminal defendant has to have been sentenced before he or she is considered “convicted” of a criminal offense in the State of Ohio. Below are the felony convictions that took place in the Wayne County Common Pleas Court for 1/3/2022 to 1/10/2022:

 

1/4/2022 – Lance Mann, 47-year-old male from Wooster – Case No. 2021 CRC-I 000451

Convicted of Aggravated Possession of Drugs, F5, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2925.11(A). Sentenced by Judge Mark K. Wiest to: a fine of $100.00. Additionally, the following conditions were imposed: Pay Court Costs / Probation Fees.

 

1/4/2022 – Alicia Marie Shannon, 45-year-old female from Columbus – Case No. 2020 CRC-I 000174

Convicted of Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle, F5, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2913.03(B). Sentenced by Judge Mark K. Wiest to: a term of incarceration of 30 days. The judge ordered: Case number 2021 CRB 664 was charged here by bill of information. Defendant entered a plea of guilty to petty theft and restitution was given. Additionally, the following conditions were imposed: Pay Restitution: $57.50 for replacement plates to Pamela Atkinson.

 

1/4/2022 – Gregory Brown, 32-year-old male from Wooster – Case No. 2020 CRC-I 000159

Convicted of Aggravated Possession of Drugs, F5, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2925.11(A). Sentenced by Judge Mark K. Wiest to: Community Control sanctions in the amount of 2 years. Additionally the following conditions were imposed: Pay Court Costs / Probation Fees; Standard Terms: Obey All Laws & Probation Rules, Follow Directions of Probation Officer; Perform Community Service: 60 Hours; Random Drug Testing; Alcohol / Drug / Mental Health Counseling as Directed by Probation Department; Obtain / Maintain Gainful Employment; Intensive Supervision Program; Complete Program at Community Based Correctional Facility (4 – 6 months): SRCCC; Participate in Cognitive Behavioral Group.

 

1/4/2022 – Gregory Dwayne Brown, 32-year-old male from WOOSTER – Case No. 2020 CRC-I 000457

Convicted of Illegal Conveyance of Drugs of Abuse onto Grounds of a Specified Governmental Facility, F3, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2921.36(A)(2). Sentenced by Judge Mark K. Wiest to: a term of incarceration of (with 2 years suspended) and Community Control sanctions in the amount of 2 years. Additionally, the following conditions were imposed: Pay Court Costs / Probation Fees; Standard Terms: Obey All Laws & Probation Rules, Follow Directions of Probation Officer; Perform Community Service: 60 Hours; Random Drug Testing; Alcohol / Drug / Mental Health Counseling as Directed by Probation Department; Obtain / Maintain Gainful Employment; Intensive Supervision Program; Complete Program at Community Based Correctional Facility (4 – 6

Convicted of Aggravated Possession of Drugs, F5, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2925.11(A). Sentenced by Judge Mark K. Wiest to: Community Control sanctions in the amount of 2 years. Convicted of Aggravated Possession of Drugs (Methamphetamine), F3, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2925.11(A). Sentenced by Judge Mark K. Wiest to: a term of incarceration of 2 years.

 

1/5/2022 – James Matthew Hicks, 28-year-old male from WOOSTER – Case No. 2020 CRC-I 000319

Convicted of Aggravated Trafficking in Drugs (Methamphetamine), F2, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2925.03(A)(2). Sentenced by Judge Mark K. Wiest to: a term of incarceration of 2 years. Additionally, the following conditions were imposed: Forfeiture of $283.21. Below are the felony convictions that took place in the Wayne County Common Pleas Court for 1/3/2022 to 1/10/2022:

1/5/2022 – Alex Matthew Rogers, 23-year-old male from HEATH – Case No. 2021 CRC-I 000062

Convicted of Trespass in a Habitation, F4, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2911.12(B). Sentenced by Judge Mark K. Wiest to: a term of incarceration of 30 days.

 

1/5/2022 – Walter Pleban, 46-year-old male from WOOSTER – Case No. 2021 CRC-I 000110

Convicted of Aggravated Possession of Drugs, F5, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2925.11(A). Sentenced by Judge Corey E. Spitler to: Community Control sanctions in the amount of 2 years. Convicted of Illegal Conveyance of Drugs of Abuse onto Grounds of a Specified Governmental Facility, F3, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2921.36(A)(2) and one additional count. Sentenced by Judge Corey E. Spitler to: a term of incarceration of 3 days, Community Control sanctions in the amount of 2 years, a fine of $375.00 and a driver’s license suspension for 1 year. Convicted of Theft, F5, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2913.02(A)(1). Sentenced by Judge Corey E. Spitler to: a term of incarceration of 30 years. The judge ordered: Credit for 25 days served Additionally the following conditions were imposed: Pay Restitution: $2,298.98 to Walmart.
